As a side note: Do you see our cleared-off driveway? We have a secret Good Samaritan. Our neighbors are retired and benefit from the generosity of a local farmer who clears their driveway with his tractor and blade. While we were in Ethiopia, it snowed almost a foot and when they cleared the road, it left a snow drift that blocked our driveway. Our neighbor called their friend who gladly came and cleared our driveway so we could get to our house when we returned. It snowed another 6 inches or so last week. I was home with the boys when I heard a tractor outside. I thought they were working on our road but lo and behold - the Good Samaritan was back in our driveway. We don't know who he is. We didn't need to ask for his help. He just did it. And we're grateful. Thank you secret snow-removal guy!

Walkin' in a Winter Wonderland
The boys and I have continued our afternoon stroll to the mailbox. It takes 20 minutes to get everyone bundled appropriately and about 8 minutes to walk to the mailbox and back.
Yesterday afternoon was Colin's first encounter with Pete, the horse. He stared for a long time and then turned to me and said, "Mama?" as if to ask, "Do you see that thing? What in the world is it?"

Colin you are soo cute!
I agree. I'm hoping Colin's beginning to enjoy getting bundled up like this each day, because he couldn't be more adorable with his little tiny self tucked in the round bundle of his snowy-day clothes. And the Pete and Colin picture is priceless. Aunt Cindy
